Give the kids at CYT Phoenix a voice this Giving Tuesday!

Giving Tuesday is December 3rd! Will you help the kids at CYT Phoenix be heard?! We are raising $45,000 to replace our outdated sound equipment, and pour into the excellence we strive for in production quality for our students. You can be part of helping CYT Phoenix achieve our Giving Tuesday goals by becoming a monthly donor, or through a one-time gift leading up to and on Giving Tuesday, as well as through the end of the year.
  • CYT’s microphones and receivers are OLD! Replacing our outdated equipment with current and reliable technology costs $45,000 and we need YOUR help to raise funds now through the end of the year to make it happen! Our equipment is too outdated at this time to be repaired or replaced should something happen to it.
  • CYT Phoenix currently owns 18 receivers and transmitters, along with 32 mic elements, but our casts average 60-70 students and mic equipment is shared among them during performances.
  • Did you know that the frequency range in which microphone equipment operates is regulated by the The Federal Communications Commission (FCC)? Upgrading our equipment is essential to ensure we have sound equipment compatible with our venues and the latest legal frequency ranges that are causing our current equipment to become obsolete. 
  • $45,000 gives the kids at CYT Phoenix 24 full sets of up to date mic equipment for our MainStage productions, enough mic elements to be shared amongst our casts, AND new mic equipment to use at our class and camp showcases so that students can be heard more clearly when showcasing their new skills each session!
    • Each individual set of mic equipment for use at MainStage productions costs $1,800.
    • Sound equipment for use at class and camp showcases cost $2,305
Our mission is to develop character and creativity through quality theater arts training that brings families and communities together while reflecting Jesus. We develop character in our students by actively practicing CYT's four values at our branch: Character over Competition, People over Programs, Service over Spotlight, and Excellence over Ego. State of the art equipment is needed to support our quality productions while holding a high standard of excellence in everything that we do. From singing, acting, dancing, blocking and stagecraft, it takes an ensemble of individuals to pull off the magic of live theater.
